AVALON EMERGENCY OFFICIALS TO EDUCATE GIRL SCOUTS ON MONDAY

Avalon’s emergency management team heads to the Nature Center of Cape May Monday afternoon to participate in a major exercise for South Jersey Girl Scouts.  Scouts from as far away as Middlesex County will visit the Center to learn about emergencies and what evacuations are all about.  Scouts will also be able to tour Avalon’s Pet Evacuation Trailer and they will be making blankets and ribbons for the dozens of pet cages inside the Avalon shelter.  The event begins at 2pm.
