AVALON COUNCIL APPROVES FOUR AFFORDABLE HOUSING ORDINANCES

The Avalon Borough Council approved four ordinances Wednesday evening that bring the Borough into compliance with court-mandated affordable housing regulations.  Every New Jersey municipality is obligated to have a plan in place that provides the potential for affordable housing to occur.  The Borough also extended the grace period for property tax payments due to the state’s inability to approve it’s own budget on a timely basis.
