Avalon Police arrested a 25 year old local man on charges that he burglarized a motor vehicle that was parked over the weekend in the 200 block of 21st Street. Police say Shawn P. Russell, an Avalon resident, stole cash and credit cards from a woman’s purse that was left overnight in an unlocked vehicle. Russell was taken to the county jail on $25,000 cash bail.
