The David J. Kerr Jr. Memorial Lifeguard Races were held on Tuesday at the 35th Street Beach in Avalon, and the home team won the title. Erich Wolf of the Avalon Beach Patrol won in both the singles and doubles rowing events and Avalon won the surf dash to score their second straight victory in this competition. On Wednesday the Cape Atlantic Women’s Lifeguard Invitational will be held at the Suffolk Ave. Beach in Ventnor.
