AVALON BEACH FILL PROJECT TO BEGIN ON THURSDAY

Avalon gets a new beach starting on Thursday.  A dredge operated by Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company is expected to pump sand on Avalon’s 8th Street beach on Thursday and continue a 24-hour a day operation for the next three to four weeks.  This is the same dredge that just completed a beach fill in Strathmere.  After Avalon, the dredge heads to Sea Isle City for a summertime beach fill.
