It’s possible Avalon’s beach fill project will end this evening. According to Avalon Business Administrator Scott Wahl, Great Lakes Dredging may be able to place the final volumes of new sand on the beach by this evening. Avalon is receiving 700,000 cubic yards of new sand on its beaches from 8th Street south to 26th Street. It will take about five days for the beach fill project to de-mobilize off the Borough’s beachfront.
