The Borough of Avalon will pay tribute to the men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom during a Memorial Day parade and ceremony on Monday, May 25th. The parade steps off at 9:00am at 32nd Street and Dune Drive and proceeds northbound to Veterans Plaza at 21st Street and Dune Drive where the ceremony will be held following the parade.
The Borough of Avalon and American Legion Post #331 will present the parade and ceremony. The parade takes approximately 45 minutes and proceeds north on Dune Drive to Veterans Plaza. Many civic and community organizations in Avalon participate in the parade. Highlights include Miss Teen Avalon, Jaimie Gialloreto; Miss Avalon, Andi Babusik; and the Cape May County Sheriff’s Department Chief Warrant Officer Mounted United with Joseph T. Beisel and “Dodge”.
