All of the involved entities in the joint beach fill between Avalon and Sea Isle City met on Wednesday to discuss the fill. The beach fill will begin with Avalon and sand pumping will start on or about May 15, according to Avalon officials. The work will continue in Avalon until June 2, with sand pumping taking place 24 hours a day. Some pumping will be taking place over the Memorial Day weekend, but work will be wrapped up soon after.
Once the dredge is done in Avalon, it will head to Sea Isle City. The work in Avalon will begin at 9th St. and head south to 26th St.
