Car dealers recorded more sales in August than any single month for the past six years. More than 16 million cars were sold in August, the highest monthly sales total since 2007. The New Jersey Coalition of Automotive Retailers confirmed that the strong sales figures included South Jersey, with some dealers showing a 30 percent increase over last year. Five automakers saw record-high selling prices according to TruCar.
