AUTHORITIES WARN OF DANGERS INVOLVING PLANES AND LASER POINTERS

State and federal officials reminded the public to try and not blind pilots. The FBI and State Police held the media event to get the word out about laser pointers and the dangers of the pointing them at planes. The numbers have increased over the past few years. In total, 269 incidents were reported last year. Ocean City banned the sale of the items on the boardwalk because of issues that arose there.
