ATLANTIC CITY SEES FIRST UPSWING IN CASINO REVENUE IN OVER THREE YEARS

It may not be a jackpot, but the Atlantic City casino community will take this win. For the first time in 40 months, the 11 casinos made more money in a month than the year prior. December saw a four percent increase in revenue on average, to end an ugly slide the resort had been on. Casinos took in seven percent less for 2011 than the year prior, so this news helps temper some of the frustration being felt in the resort.
