ATLANTIC CITY PREPARED FOR MISS AMERICA’S RETURN

At a press conference on Tuesday at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, representatives from several city agencies detailed their plans for the upcoming Miss America Pageant. Police coverage and security will be tight, with additional cameras and personnel provided by the Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness. The Miss America Organization has been assured protection from a coordination of local, regional and state law enforcement and emergency management officials. Up to 200,000 people are expected to visit Atlantic City for the pageant parade and competition.
