Atlantic City Police have identified the Philadelphia man who drowned in the ocean early Sunday morning. Police have identified the victim as 24 year old Melvin Brown Jr. of Philadelphia. Brown went for a swim in the ocean early Sunday morning and never returned alive. His girlfriend told police that Brown went missing; his body was recovered around 2:30am Sunday. There were no lifeguards on duty at the time of the drowning.
