Atlantic City Police came to the rescue of families who were trying to get off the beach safety Wednesday afternoon during a derecho that brought very strong wind gusts to the resort.Ā One officer was struck on the back by a falling lamp post while trying to get a child off the beach safely.Ā There were no injuries.
