ATLANTIC CITY MAYOR DISCUSSES JOBS WITH MEDIA

Jobs were the main topic of conversation during a media teleconference on Tuesday for Atlantic City Mayor Don Guardian. The mayor said the city is working with the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority on a job-placement program to assist the thousands slated to be let go. Casinos aren’t the only ones getting rid of workers. Guardian said the city’s financial hardships will cause the government to lay off between 200 and 300 workers.
