On Wednesday, Atlantic City Council President Marty Small said the two bids received for the city’s Bader Field property were “too low” to be awarded. The Press of Atlantic City reported that Small was giving his “opinion” on the bids, which were not available to the public, as they were being reviewed by the city’s legal department. Minimum bids for Bader Field were originally set at $155 million for a public auction, but the sealed bids were accepted with no minimum offer requirement. Legend Properties of Cherry Hill, and Bader Field Development LLC of Long Branch, were the only two companies to submit bids on the former airport and sporting complex.
