New government data details how bad the job loss has been in Atlantic City. In a 12-month period ending on Oct. 31, 9,900 jobs were lost in the resort, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The numbers are more than four times the next closest metro area, which was Davenport, Iowa with 2,200 jobs lost. These news comes right before more layoffs are possible, with the Trump Taj Mahal possibly set to close on Dec. 20.
