A high-wind warning has been issued for the Atlantic City Electric service territory, from 2 p.m. to midnight Friday, according to the National Weather Service. With wind gusts potentially reaching 60 mph, Atlantic City Electric officials said there could be widespread power outages resulting from downed power lines and tree limbs. Company officials are preparing for, and urging customers to prepare for, power outages in the event the inclement weather does impact the electric system.
