JD Power & Associates has named Atlantic City Electric at the top of the list among 31 utilities impacted by Hurricane Sandy for overall effectiveness in handling the emergency. The group conducted a survey of over 5,000 customers in 15 different states affected by Sandy, and rated the utility companies on preparedness, support efforts in recovery and effectiveness of communication. At the height of the super-storm, Atlantic City Electric says 210,000 of their customers were without power.
