The Coast Guard medevaced a 56-year-old woman from aboard a boat 48 miles off the coast of Ocean City Saturday. The Coast Guard received a call at 10 a.m. from a crewmember aboard the boat Virginia reporting the woman is diabetic and did not take her medicine causing her to go into diabetic shock. A rescue helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, N.J., arrived on scene and hoisted the woman on their helicopter. The woman was transported to Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Md., for treatment.
