North Wildwood officials reportedly are denying any claims by state environmental officials that it illegally took down dune and wetlands. The Associated Press reports that North Wildwood is disputing a claim that it destroyed eight acres of mature dunes as part of an oceanfront development program. The city’s beaches were seriously eroded before the town took action. North Wildwood’s attorney says they are trying to get a path forward to resolve the situation.
