ASSEMBLYMAN CALLS FOR 5-YEAR TAX FREEZE IN ATLANTIC CITY

On Wednesday Assemblyman Chris Brown unveiled his Atlantic County recovery plan, by calling for a five-year property tax freeze for Atlantic City and a further drop in casino tax assessments. He also stressed the importance of keeping casino development out of North Jersey. Brown was critical of the plan proposed by Senate President Steve Sweeney and Assemblyman Vince Mazzeo for favoring casinos over working families, which has been approved by state senate and assembly committees.
