A vote was cancelled on Thursday to save Atlantic City. Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto decided to cancel a vote on a rescue plan because he didn’t have the votes to pass it. Gov. Chris Christie and Senate President Steve Sweeney have a rival proposal and say it is time for the Assembly to vote on that measure. It has already been passed in the Senate but Prieto opposed the plan.
