ASSEMBLY PASSES CAP BILL, ONTO CHRISTIE'S DESK

A bill to cap property tax increases at two percent annually is one step away from being law. The Assembly passed the bill today that is expected to be signed by Gov. Chris Christie on Tuesday. The legislation shows a compromise between the Republican governor and Democratic controlled legislature. The Senate originally passed the measure on Thursday. The vote came in 73-4.
