The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office announced the arrest of three juveniles and one adult in three separate investigations involving the use of social media to send threatening messages involving local schools. One of the incidents occurred on Wednesday, causing Middle Township Schools to go on lockdown, due to an alleged Twitter post that made reference to shooting a school. The social media post was traced to 22 year-old Christopher Goodwin of Rio Grande, who was charged with False Public Alarm and released with a summons. Prosecutor Robert Taylor said threats involving schools are a matter to be taken seriously and the individuals involved will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
