ARREST FOR ARMED ROBBERY IN HAMILTON TWP.

Police arrested a Mays Landing man on Sunday for an alleged armed robbery attempt at the Festival Shopping Center in Hamilton Township. At about 6:20pm Sunday, a couple reported a robbery attempt at knifepoint. The victims fled to the Hamilton Mall for safety and were not injured. Police arrested Anthony Palmeri, 33, of Mays Landing, who was positively identified by the couple. Police also found the knife used in the attempted robbery and are holding Palmeri on $35,000 bail.
