An Atlantic City man was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Thursday for a 2010 armed robbery of an Atlantic City convenience store. Edwin Mercado will have to serve at least 85 percent of that sentence before parole becomes an option. Mercado plead guilty to entering the Babajan’s Deli with a shotgun and demanded money from the clerks behind the counter. During that incident, the clerks wrestled the gun from Mercado who dropped the shotgun and fled the store.
