On Sunday morning the clerk at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Vineland was held up by a gunman who escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash. Vineland police responded to the hotel on Landis Avenue, just west of Route 55, at about 2 a.m. Sunday. The robbery suspect first posed as a customer, then brandished a handgun, demanded cash and fled with the money. No injuries were reported. Police did not say if the robbery was related to the Friday morning armed robbery of the Subway at Delsea and College drives that caused a lockdown at the Cumberland County College.
