An area baseball coach has been suspended for five games for illegally contacting players. The Daily Journal reports that Sacred Heart High School baseball coach John Triantos was suspended for having direct contact with a player during the off-season. The New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association has also put the program on probation for the violation.
