APPEAL IN CARTY CASE TURNED DOWN

An appeal is not going to be heard in the case regarding George J. Carty III. The Press of Atlantic City reports an appeal to the Supreme Court by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office was turned down on Wednesday. Carty was arrested in 2007 for the 1982 murder of John Attenborough, of Lower Township. Carty was freed on $50,000 bail at the end of 2010 and has been free ever since.
