Something went terribly wrong shortly after the launch of an unmanned Antares rocket on Tuesday evening, from Wallops Island, Virginia. The rocket exploded moments after liftoff, destroying a Cygnus spacecraft, plus 5,000 pounds of experiments and supplies for NASA, including a science project designed by students from Ocean City High School. The six students and several faculty members were present at the launch viewing site and suffered no injuries. An investigation will begin on Wednesday as crews will recover debris from the rocket, which was also carrying hazardous materials.
