ANOTHER LAWSUIT OVER REDUCED PENSION PAYMENTS LOSES

A lawsuit that attempted to get billions in damages from the state for not fully funding the pension system has been dismissed by a Superior Court judge. The state’s Supreme Court ruled earlier this year that the state wasn’t obligated to fully fund the pension system when it made the changes in order to balance the budget. The judge in the case said this latest lawsuit seemed like it was trying to get around the Supreme Court ruling.
