ANOTHER DELAY IN OCEAN CITY’S MAJOR BEACH FILL PROJECT

The on again, off again beach fill project in Ocean City is off, again.  A dredge that had begun pumping fresh sand onto the city’s beaches this week had to be shut down for mechanical repairs.  Now the dredge will be sent to Virgina for what could be a lengthy repair project.  The beach fill was supposed to be completed in the middle of July; now, the project will be further delayed past the end of the summer.
