ANOTHER DELAY IN ATTEMPT TO PRIVATIZE PARKWAY

For the fifth time, there is a delay in the deadline for companies who want to submit a plan to the state to privatize toll collections on the Garden State Parkway and New Jersey Turnpike.  On Tuesday a fifth delay was announced, now the new deadline is November 12th.  Contractors have until then to submit a plan that would allow them to run the EZ Pass toll collection system and replace toll collectors with private collectors.
