A major chain confirmed that credit card data could have been breached. The retail store Michaels confirmed that a breach took place between June 26, 2013 and February 27, 2014. Roughly 2.6 million cards could have been impacted. This is similar to the breach that took place at Target stores. Michaels has South Jersey locations, including in Rio Grande. Those that have used credit cards there are warned to check their statements for fraudulent activity.
