A New Jersey court has ruled that a private beach club in New Jersey must open up its beaches to non-members. An appellate court ruled that the Sea Bright Beach Club must grant total access to the public because various beach replenishment projects were financed with public tax dollars. This ruling negates an agreement between the state and the beach club dating back to 1993 that allowed the beach club to restrict access to its beach.
