The City of North Wildwood was planning to purchase a new ambulance with bond funds, but that changed with the stroke of a pen. City officials announced this week that a donor who asked not to be identified, wrote North Wildwood a check for $150,000. The money will be used to fund the custom-built ambulance purchase, and is reportedly the largest single donation ever given to North Wildwood. The new ambulance will replace a 1998 EMS vehicle, and should be on the road within six months.
