The Concerned Citizens of Whitesboro, Inc., celebrated their 24th annual reunion festival over the weekend. The Cape May County Herald reports that a number of dignitaries and community leaders spoke over the three day event, which concluded on Sunday. The keynote speaker was Larry S. Gibson, the first African American law professor at the University of Virginia in 1972. The group honored former Middle Township Mayor Nate Doughty, and current Mayor Dan Lockwood also addressed the crowd. Stedman Graham, executive director of the organization, gave the closing remarks for this years reunion, with the theme of “Pulling Together to Serve the Community.”
