A plan to crack down on rowdy houses in Wildwood got more explanation on Thursday. Wildwood Mayor Ernie Troiano told Coastal Broadcasting that he planned to impose a $300 fine on houses that get repeated violations for noise and other related complaints. Following the first fine that will go on the property owner’s taxes, a police officer will be positioned at the property at a cost of between $50 to $70 per hour to ensure the property remains safe. Troiano believes this additional crackdown will help ensure a safe living space. The ordinance was passed on first reading and is still waiting final passage.
