The man who is accused of killing a central New Jersey police officer made his first appearance in court on Tuesday. 19 year old Jahmell Crockam appeared in court on Tuesday to be arraigned on first degree murder charges. Crockham uttered one word during Tuesday’s proceeding….”yes”…when he was asked by the judge if he understood the charges filed against him. Crockham is charged with firing three bullets into the head of Lakewood police officer Chirstopher Matlosz on Friday evening. Crockham was arrested Sunday morning in Camden.
