A dispute between firefighters and city officials have led to there being one polling place in Wildwood. The Press of Atlantic City reports that the Holly Beach Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 has closed its doors to hosting school and municipal elections this year. The report states that the fire company is upset the city won’t be paying for the utilities of the fire company this year and in response, will not allow elections to be held in the building. All voters will have to go to the Wildwoods Convention Center in order to cast their ballot.
