Count Assemblyman Nelson Albano one of those working to get a bill passed called Caylee’s law. It is in response to what took place during the Casey Anthony case. Albano told Coastal Broadcasting he is helping with the legislation that would upgrade the penalties on parents or care-takers that don’t notify police of a missing child within 24 hours. Under one proposal, it would become a second-degree crime. It is unclear what the final version of the legislation will look like, but increased penalties would take place.
