The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has issued an air quality alert for South Jersey from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. Friday. Ozone is forecast to reach unhealthy levels for sensitive groups, due to hot and humid conditions, mostly sunny skies and light west winds, becoming northwest by the evening hours.
