AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT REPORTED IN HAMILTON TOWNSHIP

Hamilton Township Police are investigating the report of an aggravated sexual assault. The investigation revealed the victim was contacted through the social media site KIK, which is a free messaging application that can be downloaded by a cellular phone that is connected to a wireless network (wifi). The person using the program to contact the juvenile victim was ultimately identified as Aaron Johnson Jr, 23/M of Mays Landing. Johnson eventually met with the victim at a location in Mays Landing, when the assault occurred. Johnson was charged with 1st degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, 2nd degree luring and 3rd degree endangering the welfare of a child. Johnson was placed in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $300,000 bail.
