Electronic Ballots Available to 1st Responders and Displaced Voters Due to Hurricane Sandy
First responders and displaced voters due to Hurricane Sandy’s impact on New Jersey, will be able to vote by electronic means, either by email or fax up to 5:00 p.m. on Election Day. Voters are directed to call the County Clerk’s Office at 609 465 1013 for further instructions.
Mail-In Ballot Applicants
The deadline for Mail-In Ballot Applicants applying in person, or who authorize a messenger to appear in person with the voter’s completed, signed application, to the County Clerk’s Office has been extended to 4:30 p.m. Monday, November 5. Voted Mail-In Ballots must be delivered to the Board of Elections by 8 p.m. on Election Day. Mail-In Ballots which are postmarked November 5 or before and received by November 19 will be counted.
New Jersey voters displaced due to Hurricane Sandy may vote by Provisional Ballot at any polling place in New Jersey. Please be aware that this will allow voters outside their jurisdiction to cast ballots for President/Vice President, statewide candidates and questions but not for local or regional candidates.
The Cape May County Clerk’s Office and Board of Elections Office are open throughout this weekend to serve you. Hours are Saturday, Sunday and Monday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On Tuesday, Election Day election offices open at 6:00 a.m.
