ADDITIONAL GUN LEGISLATION ADVANCES IN SENATE

A slate of seven new gun control bills were advanced in a Senate panel on Thursday. The Senate Law and Public Safety Committee took up the measures after it advanced seven other bills earlier this week. The measure that got the most talk was the future ban of sale of .50-caliber rifles. This piece of legislation also has the support of Gov. Chris Christie. A full vote on the 14 pieces of legislation are scheduled for May 13.
