ACCIDENT KNOCKS OUT POWER TO PART OF AVALON

Parts of Avalon had no electricity for a couple of hours on Wednesday afternoon.  A single vehicle motor vehicle accident on Avalon Boulevard resulted in a utility pole coming down and power being knocked out to hundreds of residents and businesses.  By 5:15pm power had been largely restored.  Avalon Boulevard was closed for about two hours as crews responded to the scene.  No word on the condition of the driver involved in the accident.
