AC POLICE OFFICER SENTENCED FOR USING POSITION TO ENGAGE IN SEXUAL ASSAULT

An Atlantic City Police officer was sentenced for using his position as an officer to sexually assault a child. Andre L. Corbin of Mays Landing was charged with two counts of official misconduct, two counts of sexual assault, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, along with criminal sexual contact. Corbin admitted in Court to using Facetime to transmit an image of his penis while in his police uniform, and to meeting the victim between January and August of 2013 and committing sexual assault by oral and digital penetration of the underage female, while being a police officer with supervisory power over the victim.
