AC ELECTRIC: SHUT OFF AIR CONDITIONERS THIS AFTERNOON

Atlantic City Electric is asking customers to shut off air conditioners and other high energy use items for one hour on Thursday.  The utility is conducting a test required by its grid operator and would like the public to shut down high energy uses between 2:00 and 3:00pm today.  Customers who are in the Energy Wise program will have their air conditioner compressors cycled on and off during the afternoon.
