A request to conserve electricity comes today from Atlantic City Electric. The utility issued a statement asking people to voluntarily conserve electricity due to higher demand caused by extraordinarily cold weather. Power demand is up due to single-digit temperatures and very low wind chill values. Peak demand for power is expected between 3pm and 7pm on Tuesday.
